CNN Labels Virginia Governor Ralph Northam A ‘Republican’

Virginia Democratic Governor Ralph Northam, who was just forced to apologize over a 1984 yearbook photo where he and another man were wearing blackface and a KKK costume, was falsely labeled a Republican by CNN on Friday.
CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360°” falsely claims that Virginia Democrat Governor Ralph Northam is a member of the Republican Party

Big League Politics got a copy of Democrat Ralph Northam’s 1984 medical school yearbook showing he and a friend in blackface and a KKK costume.

Northam issued an apology on Friday shortly after the photo surfaced but has so far refused to resign (and he hasn’t said which person he was in the photo):
My fellow Virginians, earlier today I released a statement apologizing for behavior in my past that falls far short of the standard you set for me when you elected me to be your governor. I believe you deserve to hear directly from me. pic.twitter.com/1rSw1oxfrX

Ed Gillespie and the GOP establishment no doubt could have easily defeated Northam in their recent election had they done this simple opposition research but they wasted millions on who knows what and failed miserably instead.
As we learned from the Democrats with Judge Kavanaugh, all our political decisions must now revolve around on deep analysis of decades-old yearbooks.
While Democrats had no issue with Northam advocating for post-birth abortion, aka infanticide, several called for him to resign over the 35-year-old photo.
1. Kathy Tran (D) proposes bill to allow full-term abortions
2. Video goes viral, outrage ensues
3. Ralph Northam (D) defends Tran, goes further, endorses infanticide
4. Northam doubles down after outrage
5. Northam KKK/blackface photo emerges
6. Tran calls for Northam to resign https://t.co/uMekqfBHxW— Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra) February 2, 2019
Absolutely hilarious. There’s no honor among thieves!
It doesn’t matter if he is a Republican or a Democrat. This behavior was racist and unconscionable. Governor Northam should resign.

These racist images are deeply disturbing. Hatred and discrimination have no place in our country and must not be tolerated, especially from our leaders – Republican or Democrat. Northam must resign.
— Elizabeth Warren (@ewarren) February 2, 2019
Leaders are called to a higher standard, and the stain of racism should have no place in the halls of government. The Governor of Virginia should step aside so the public can heal and move forward together.

Governor Ralph Northam must resign. There is no excuse for the shockingly racist picture. I note that Florida Republican Secretary of State Michael Ertel resigned last month for being in blackface. This picture is even worse. It’s blackface next to a KKK figure. https://t.co/0Ujze6odGW

Bigotry has no place in this country — especially not in the halls of power. The racism on display in that photo is indefensible. I join my congressional colleagues in calling on Governor Northam to resign.
— Rep. Barbara Lee (@RepBarbaraLee) February 2, 2019
There aren’t two sets of rules for our friends and our foes: Right is right and wrong is wrong. Americans deserve to be respected by their leaders, and racism cannot be excused in our government or anywhere else. Having seen the photo, I believe Governor Northam should resign.
— Kirsten Gillibrand (@SenGillibrand) February 2, 2019
These images arouse centuries of anger, anguish, and racist violence and they’ve eroded all confidence in Gov. Northam’s ability to lead. We should expect more from our elected officials. He should resign.

The situation that he has put himself and the Commonwealth of Virginia in is untenable. It’s time for Ralph to step down, and for the Commonwealth to move forward.

On the first day of #BlackHistoryMonth, Northam should accept responsibility & resign paving the way for Lt. Gov Justin Fairfax to become the second African American governor in Virginia’s history. That is the type of restorative justice that our nation cries out for at this time https://t.co/twRh9hANeZ

If only he killed a newborn baby rather than worn this ridiculous costume 35-years-ago — then they’d all be rushing to his defense!
