February 14th: ‘Happy Thanksgiving’ from Nancy Pelosi

The holidays can become such a blur: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years all tend to run together, including Valentine’s Day, according to the Speaker of the House.
Thursday, February 14th Speaker Nancy Pelosi signed a border security compromise bill intended to avoid a government shutdown in which she wished everyone a Happy Valentine’s day afterward. Then things got weird.
Known for her brain freezes and misspeaks, Madame Speaker said on Thursday:
“Thank all of you, Happy Valentine’s Day. We saluted our victory – or the victory for the American people – earlier with chocolate. Chocolate from California, I call it the champagne of chocolate. So again, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. You should go home now to your loved ones.”

Sparking immediate reaction, those standing behind Pelosi started chuckling at the Thanksgiving comment.California Rep. Pete Aguilar who laughed and said “Thanksgiving?”, according to CBS News.
Once again, Madame Speaker, drinking prior to signing bills is not recommended and highly discourage. Merry Christmas!
