Tucker accused of ‘sugar-shaming’ after sending Brian Stelter a box of jelly donuts.

Here’s how CNN host responded to the gift

Brian Stelter is reportedly not amused by Tucker Carlson’s sticky gesture.

The CNN host was apparently offended by the box of jelly donuts sent his way last week from his well-known rival at Fox News.

The ballooning Stelter once lost a ton of weight and proudly shared on Twitter every bit of food his diet allowed him in the process. Though he has yet to attain his pre-diet heavyweight form, he has notably been regaining some of that lost weight.

According to the New York Post‘s Page Six, Carlson may have “started a campaign to sugar-shame” Stelter.

Was it a prank or a peace offering? Those in the know apparently believe the former and it is pretty clear that Carlson’s famous sense of humor is behind the caper.

Last Friday, Carlson’s own Daily Caller website reported the Dunkin’ Donuts delivery. Friends of Carlson say he intends to dispatch another box of donuts to Stelter this week.

So what’s the feud about? It probably goes back quite a way.

This much is clear–in November, Stelter suggested in a story he wrote that Carlson overstated the risk to his family by the Antifa protest at his home when thugs tried breaking down his door. If you recall, Carlson himself was not home, but his wife and children were and they were justifiably terrified.
